Biaxial & Uniaxial Geogrids
For more than 20 years, punched and drawn geogrids have set the standard by which all geogrids were measured.
L & M Supply is proud to carry on this tradition of cost effective performance and proven reliability that the industry has come to trust.
BXGRID Biaxial Geogrids are punched and drawn from high grade polypropylene for high flexural rigidity and high tensile strength at ribs and junctions. Used in road reinforcement, BXGRID Geogrids increase the life of the surface and reduce maintenance costs. We maintain a huge inventory of both Type 1 BXGRID 11 Biaxial Geogrid and Type 2 BXGRID 12 Biaxial Geogrid at all of our locations across the USA! Our Geogrids are equivalent to Tensar BX 1100 and BX 1200 respectfully and MADE IN THE USA!
Uniaxial Geogrids are manufactured using select grades of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins, that resist elongation (creep) when subjected to high loads for long periods of time as required for steepened slopes and MSE walls.
ProTech offers geog rids by Tenax provide the flexibility needed for easy installation and the stiffness and junction strength to stay in place. BXGRID 11 and BXGRID 12 geogrids are an affordable alternative and a functionally equivalent to the Tensar BX1100 & BX1200. geogrids are used in soft soil stabilization applications to help facilitate the more efficient and predictable stabilization of poor soils for future construction projects.
BXGRID 11 and BXGRID 12 geogrids are composed of two and three layers of high strength, extruded biaxially oriented polypropylene grid, respectively. The layers are designed to accommodate find-grained, cohesive and non-cohesive fills as well as small sized random fill.
In base reinforcement applications such as paved or unpaved roads, geog rids are used to provide reinforcement and confinement to base course materials.
BXGRID 11 and BXGRID 12 geogrids distribute applied loads over a greater area reducing vertical pressure on the subgrade. This allows for a longer design life compared with a similar unreinforced section. If designing for a specific lifetime, this allows for significant reductions in base course thickness.
